About Dr. Casey Stuhlman

Casey R. Stuhlman, MD, is an expert orthopedic surgeon bringing his skills in sports medicine, shoulder and elbow surgery, joint replacement, and arthroscopic surgical techniques, to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Stuhlman is passionate about treating athletes of all ages and empowering aging patients with healthy mobility. 

Dr. Stuhlman grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. As an athlete, he was the starting quarterback that helped lead the North Crowley Panthers to a state championship. Dr. Stuhlman went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he graduated summa cum laude. 

He received his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock. Dr. Stuhlman was proud to join the renowned Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society, and during his studies, received the honor of the most outstanding student in orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Stuhlman finished his orthopedic surgical residency in joint replacement surgery and sports medicine from the distinguished Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he served as administrative chief resident. There, he learned cutting-edge surgery techniques, and his peers awarded him with the Joseph M. Janes Award for his compassionate and advanced surgical care. 

Dr. Stuhlman trained with team physicians for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins, and USA Hockey before heading to OrthoCarolina for his sports medicine and shoulder-elbow fellowship. He was the assistant team physician for multiple colleges and high schools, and for the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Knights, Hendrick Motorsports, and Joe Gibbs Racing. 

At The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre, Dr. Stuhlman brings his interest in progressive and effective surgery to the team, including treating sports-related injuries, knee, hip and shoulder conditions, as well as total joint surgical replacements. 

Dr. Stuhlman has privileges at multiple hospitals in The Woodlands, including Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodlands Parkway, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, St. Luke’s Community Medical Center of The Woodlands, Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, and Houston Northwest Hospital in Houston, Texas.
