About Taylar Hayden
Taylar Hayden is a board-certified Physician Assistant working alongside Dr. Jason Piefer, MD. She grew up in South Texas in a small coastal town and enjoyed fishing, competitive gymnastics, basketball and cheerleading.
She attended Texas A&M University on full academic scholarship as a Terry Scholar and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education in 2011. She received a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies in 2013 from UTMB in Galveston.
Her career has focused exclusively on Orthopedic surgery since she started practicing at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in 2014. She has a passion for patient-focused care and emphasizes collaboration with other specialists to improve patient outcomes before, during and after surgery.
She advocates for patients and offers both nonoperative and surgical treatment options. Taylar enjoys working in both clinical and surgical roles and is pleased to assist Dr. Piefer in the operating room when surgery is indicated. She has specific interest in Shoulder, Hip and Knee injuries
